Maria's entrepreneurial journey started at the tender age of five when she sold puppies (made out of Mardi Gras beads) for .25¢ to her peers.
In high school she built a clientele selling CDs containing some of the hottest Hip-Hop and R&B songs at the time.
In college she became a freelance copywriter–writing copy for biographies, websites, legal documents, and academic papers.
As a Marketing Intern at The Home Depot, Maria wrote radio ad copy that was recorded by Tom Joyner and Steve Harvey. The commercials aired on the aforementioned's popular morning shows which had a combined 16 million listeners.
In 2012 Maria ventured into writing copy for email marketing, and she quickly dominated the space–working with African-American influencers in the entrepreneurship and financial literacy sectors.
In 2015 she launched her copywriting firm Management 24 to broaden her reach and capabilities. In addition to providing email and Facebook ad copy for clients, Maria also became trained in marketing automation and is an
ONTRAPORT Certified Consultant as well as a ManyChat Agency Partner.
At Management 24, Maria leads a small team of writers who have been helping her take clients from zero to an estimated seven-figures since the company's inception.
